Mike,
We enjoyed hearing about the experience you created for your students. Connecting with the composer gave your students the opportunity to see how different people can interpret music in different ways. It seems as though this experience may have brought more meaning to the piece for your students after hearing from it's creator.
Will your students do any sort of reflection activity to help them recognize the value of the experience? Did your students appreciate the opportunity to connect with the composer?
